The darkness seeps into my soul
A void that can never be filled
Searching for something to ease the pain
I sit in the library, surrounded by my books
Their pages filled with knowledge and wisdom
But they offer no solace for my troubled mind
The emptiness consumes me
I wander the moonlit streets
My footsteps the only sound in the quiet night
The darkness my only companion
As I search for a glimmer of hope
But hope is a fleeting thing
In this world of darkness and despair
I am left alone with my thoughts
The emptiness, an inescapable abyss
Yet I still hold on to a spark of faith
That one day the darkness will lift
And the emptiness will fade
Leaving me free to embrace the light.
