View from the Villain

I ask myself how do people love? The idea of loving someone with their flaws is so foreign to me. I can love a person, but I'd always hate their negative qualities and I know it's true for everyone And if it's not, there's something wrong with me, or something extremely right with them  Does their heart pump love while mine only pumps hate? Is their work hard while mine is just fate? Is their blood hot while mine has run cold? If we have the same hearts, why is mine impossible to hold? Does their hand crave another while mine only craves a pen? Is it wrong to yearn for solitude again and again? How does their love feel like a breeze on a hot day? While mine feels like a debt I can never repay. How do their eyes resemble stars while mine lackluster? How do they give love for love while I just feed them off like a vulture? Does their mind replay memories they love, while mine is just a misery cell? Does their recollection fade when they feel fine, while I remember it all ...

Who Would've Thought?

Who would've thought We'd see this day? Anime, poems, movies, all turned to dust now My body is numb, But I think it hurts somewhere. Who would've thought It was all a play? Pretty face, pretty voice, maybe pretty lies The actor was good But I think the violence won't let it air Who would've thought It was always one way? Waited for him to cross the road My hand out, But I believe the speedy cars didn't let him dare Who would've thought All the sweet talks would start with a heyy? Said he didn't want to hurt me so didn't bother to explain The orator was good But the speech made it hard to hear Who would've thought My favorite month would no longer be may? Never missed the chance to look for him despite my aching eyes The sun was cruel But at least the winter is near Who would've thought Black would be my new gray? Astronaut, m oon, piano,  everything so surreal The artist was good, But his art was all a snare Who would've thou...

Embracing the Darkness: My Love Affair with Dark Academia

Hey everyone! I'm Taskeen and welcome to my blog. You probably don't know but in my first blog post ever, I mentioned that I consider myself a strong dark academia enthusiast and if you're a fellow dark academician (idek if that's a thing but we're going to work with it), you know exactly why. Dark academia is more than just an aesthetic – it's a state of mind, a way of life. For those who are passionate about this intriguing and mysterious subculture, it's a source of endless inspiration and intellectual curiosity. But if you're like "wait what?" and don't know what I'm talking about, let me explain- Dark Academia is, ironically, one of the most popular aesthetics in today's world. At its core, dark academia is a blend of classical and romantic elements, with a focus on literature, art, and the pursuit of knowledge. It's a love letter to the history of ideas and the grandeur of academia, but with a twist of darkness and mystery...

Dark Academia and My Passion for the Written Word

Hey everyone! I'm Taskeen and as a lover of literature, books, reading, writing, and whatnot, I have always been drawn to the melancholic and nostalgically intellectual themes of the dark academia aesthetic. There is something about this aesthetic that speaks to me on a deep level, and that has always resonated with my own interests and passions. At its core, dark academia is an aesthetic that celebrates the beauty and power of the human intellect and is characterized by a love of literature, art, and music, as well as a fascination with the mysteries of the past. For me, this aesthetic represents a way of life that is deeply appealing, and one that I have always felt a strong connection to.  I have always had a love of reading, and the aesthetic perfectly captures this love. It is an aesthetic that values the knowledge and wisdom found within the pages of classic literature and encourages a love of learning and intellectual pursuits. But it's not just about readin...
