My Eternal Embrace

I can't recall a time devoid of war Constant turmoil between my heart and mind. And although that leaves me on the brink of insanity each day, grasping a thread of hope for dear life, it's comforting. It feels good to have something familiar in life. An anchor refusing to abandon me, no matter how forcefully I push it away. This melancholy has been my muse, even before I lifted my pen to write. Life, a desert I've wandered barefoot, scorched by relentless heat and numbing cold, longing for water to prevent collapse, or a blanket to stave off death's embrace. Survival demands sustenance- This pain has been my water as well as my warmth. It's a deep love that she has for me. She loves me, so she never leaves me I don't leave her because I don't know where else to go She's the only one I know Her face etched within the chambers of my heart. She makes me cry, to the point where death feels like a better friend than her And she makes me laugh, at ...

Fragile Remnants

It's like each breath comes with a condition of being alone Love's icy touch leaves me with a numb body, a mind of stone Maybe I'd tolerate the skin, but I hate it when it sinks deep into my bone. The poems can't be written without letting go of every hand I've ever known The evil is buried somewhere, or it would've been a struggle to switch the tone Why does peace come to me at the price of giving up everything I own? The wound becomes fresh every time the scar is shown Broken heart, moist eye, for sins such as this, I can never atone  You can feel me sinking daggers into your flesh, then tell me how you still condone?

View from the Villain

I ask myself how do people love? The idea of loving someone with their flaws is so foreign to me. I can love a person, but I'd always hate their negative qualities and I know it's true for everyone And if it's not, there's something wrong with me, or something extremely right with them  Does their heart pump love while mine only pumps hate? Is their work hard while mine is just fate? Is their blood hot while mine has run cold? If we have the same hearts, why is mine impossible to hold? Does their hand crave another while mine only craves a pen? Is it wrong to yearn for solitude again and again? How does their love feel like a breeze on a hot day? While mine feels like a debt I can never repay. How do their eyes resemble stars while mine lackluster? How do they give love for love while I just feed them off like a vulture? Does their mind replay memories they love, while mine is just a misery cell? Does their recollection fade when they feel fine, while I remember it all ...

Marching Through Time: Unveiling the Magic of 'Little Women' by Louisa May Alcott

Imagine this: You receive an enchanting letter in the mail, and to your surprise, it's an invitation to join the March sisters in their charming Concord home for a day! The letter reads, "Dear kindred spirit, we request your delightful presence for a day of sisterly adventures in the world of 'Little Women'. Choose a sister to accompany, and let the magic unfold!" Now, the question is, which March sister will be your companion on this thrilling escapade? Will you walk alongside Jo as she scribbles tales in her attic sanctuary, eager to explore the depths of her imagination? Or might you stand in solidarity with Meg, savoring the joys of family life and sweet domestic bliss? Perhaps the gentle and compassionate spirit of Beth calls to you, and you imagine spending the day comforting souls with her beautiful piano melodies and spreading love to those in need. Or does the vivacious and artistic allure of Amy entice you to join her on a journey of culture, refinement,...

A Tempest of Love and Hate: Exploring the Depths of Brontë's Classic 'Wuthering Heights'

Greetings, fellow literature enthusiasts! Hope you are doing well. I t's time to gather 'round for a literary adventure that will leave you gasping for air. Today, we're venturing into the wild and tumultuous world of Emily Bront ë 's  Wuthering Heights. But beware, dear readers, for this is not your average love story. No, no, this is a tale of love and hate, of life and death, of passion and madness. We've got brooding anti-heroes, tragic heroines, and enough drama to rival a Shakespearean play.  But fear not, for in the midst of all the chaos, there is beauty to be found. Bronte's haunting prose will transport you to the windswept moors of England, where the line between reality and fantasy is blurred, and the ghosts of the past haunt the present. So, grab your tissues, your favorite beverage, and a cozy blanket, because we're about to embark on a journey that will leave you breathless. And who knows, by the end of it all, you just might fall in love with...

Embracing the Darkness: My Love Affair with Dark Academia

Hey everyone! I'm Taskeen and welcome to my blog. You probably don't know but in my first blog post ever, I mentioned that I consider myself a strong dark academia enthusiast and if you're a fellow dark academician (idek if that's a thing but we're going to work with it), you know exactly why. Dark academia is more than just an aesthetic – it's a state of mind, a way of life. For those who are passionate about this intriguing and mysterious subculture, it's a source of endless inspiration and intellectual curiosity. But if you're like "wait what?" and don't know what I'm talking about, let me explain- Dark Academia is, ironically, one of the most popular aesthetics in today's world. At its core, dark academia is a blend of classical and romantic elements, with a focus on literature, art, and the pursuit of knowledge. It's a love letter to the history of ideas and the grandeur of academia, but with a twist of darkness and mystery...
